Hey everyone! Just picked up my new Jeep! 97 wrangler! I’m completely new to Jeeps and I’m sure I’ll have tons of questions. I have to have a front license plate in my state and am looking for a flip up holder for my Jeep. I know I have a rolling fairlane on the warn 9.5ti winch. Here is a pic of what I have. Please forgive my ignorance. Can someone give me a link for something that will work? Thanks

Tuffy sells one.

Rockhard 4x4 sells versions for both roller and hawse fairleads:

Here is a more expensive version from Cascadia 4x4:

There are others. Try googling "jeep winch fairlead license plate holder."

I use a fairlead license plate holder from KD Fabworks, flipped upside down so it is above the fairlead rather than below where it could be whacked by a rock. I looked a several flip-up versions but in the end decided that I wanted something with no moving parts or sources of rattles.

ya know, I guess I'm just cheap sometimes....I just loosened up the two bolts holding the fairlead and slipped the plate behind it and tightened it up...it's pinched in there pretty good and hasn't moved in three years...

Yea Ken, that's what I did also. Works perfectly and doesn't cost a dime. Easy enough to remove if necessary, but definitely won't fall off on the trail, [or lifted in a parking lot].
