My 03 manual 4.0 Rubicon is about to be regeared .

Traditional dino type oil was recommended over synthetic by Allen's Off Road, said it runs cooler .

Got me thinking -

What is best for radiator, manual transmission , oil, transfer case , and anywhere else ?

Bonus question-if you paid a shop to change transmission fluid , would you expect to see tool marks in the Allen nut?

Thanks
Andy

Rad - HOAT coolant such as Zerex G-05.
Engine - 10w30 summer such as Valvoline, 5w30 syn winter such as Amsoil.
TC - ATF+4 such as Valvoline
Diffs - whatever weight your manual says, dino only. If you paid a lot for your gears I'd only run Torco or another high end oil.
Brake Fluid - Amsoil DOT 3 & 4 (which is basically a 5.1)
Steering - whatever the manual suggests, for late years ATF+4 such as Valvoline. For PSC mineral oil such as GM (not synthetic).

I don't want to say you should be able to see tool marks. Because sometimes you dont.

With that being said if you drain and fill plug should show some type of indication that it was removed and installed. You might have to get in there and look closely.
