Front upper control arm axle side hardware

Im finally installing my last pair of Savvy control arms, front uppers. When possible in the installation I have used the new hardware for install. If the new hardware would not fit (rear uppers) I re-used stock. On the axle side of the front uppers the new hardware will not fit but I dont really want to re-use this stock fastener. Why is it not a normal hex head? Is there something particular about it or is it simply another fastener with the same purpose as a flag nut, to not have to use two tools to tighten it?

I cant remember the bolt size that Savvy provided off the top of my head other than it was a SAE bolt. I used a drill bit and reamed out the bushing liner on my front uppers to accept the new hardware. It was annoying but worth it.

The OEM fastener is just like that for single tool install. It makes taking it off a bitch when the flag keeps slipping over the bumps in the control arm

I'd like someone else to confirm just in case but here's the info I found to replace that stock hardware. This is on my short list of to-do's for sure after having the upper CA's off and now back on.

Front Uppers (Axle Side) - M10x1.50x75.00 (Hex Flange Nut)
Front Uppers (Frame Side) - M10x1.50x78.20 (Hex Flange Lock Nut)

Well I guess I should have re-used the flag nut and factory bolt on the frame side since I just dropped my 17mm shallow socket in the frame!

It's time to go fishing with a magnet and fishing line... Just fish the line thru the upper frame hole thru to the lower frame hole and pull it thru; you should snag the loose socket.

Get a flexible mechanics magnet. Will come in use later.

I got the socket out with a magnet. Did not even need a string, the telescoping magnet through the oblong hole was enough.

I used long needle nose pliers (fishing ones exactly) and held the nut and used the new HW there.

I was able to use the replacement hardware on frame side and stock hardware on axle side since the new hardware would not fit through the bushing on axle. I used the stock bolt from the frame side on the axle side to eliminate that bolt in my original picture.
