Glassware for Basement Bar

For you basement bar enthusiast types: I’m currently working on my basement bar. Is there a specific brand of drink glasses I should look for?

Most of my favorite glassware comes from Crate and Barrel. It's surprisingly affordable and holds up great.

Definitely wouldnt spend $3,500 on those...

I've got a few tumblers, nothing fancy. I use them most of the time when I am simply enjoying a cocktail. If I am trying a new bottle of whiskey I'll drink out of a glencairn glass. Also, nothing fancy. But it does make picking out the different aromas a little easier in my opinion.

I've dropped them a few times and they've survived (a lot of that is just luck).

Mine are eclectic and pieced together over time. Like free glasses from the bourbon tour in Kentucky. Some from different distillers. It makes it easier to keep people's drinks straight. If everyone's glass is identical, you have to mark them.

The rule at my bar is no 2 glasses alike. I get them from multiple sources and my experience has been that if you're in a bar and ask if they will sell you a glass they'll often say "take it". I have a lot of beer glasses with bar logos on them.

Visited Savannah, GA once on a business trip for a convention. Thought it was cool you could walk out of a bar with the glass and take it into another bar. Was told once a month the bars will load up the glasses from other bars and send a kid out to drop them off around town back where they belong. And if you wanted to keep it then have at it. Not sure if any other places are like that but was my first time seeing that.
