Grill miss alignment

Does anyone know how to align the grill with the hood. My grill is off to the left of the hood living a large gap on the driver side and basically no gap on the passenger side. I tried loosening thinks up, but I was un successful at making any progress.

Has your hood ever been off? There is some slight adjustment there. I don't think there is any adjustment for the grill. I could be wrong.
Has your Jeep ever been in an accident?

The grill doesn't really have any adjustment. Its position is controlled by the fenders. Where you should be able to re-align that is at the hood hinges. You might have to pull the Cowl panel off to get to the bolts that are not self centering though. I can't remember right now if the exposed part of the hinges have flat head screws or not.

The fenders do have some effect on the grill. Since they are mounted on both sides, you can exert a push one side away and pull the other side in which will lean it to one side some.

Loosen the bolts on the strut rods, and all the bolts that attach the fender to the grill shell, push it over to the side it needs to go and snug everything back down. There isn't a lot but there is enough to make it worse than it could be or correct a slight tilt or shift to one side.

The hood alignment as you stated is under the down. Up and down at both sides where it meets the cowl is done with shims under the base of the hinge at the tub side. Left right, fore and after is done via oversize holes in the base of the hinge on top of the shims.

Thanks guys for the replies, I will try to get some picks later today. As for has it ever been in a accident? I think it has been. The left front, hood and grill have been repainted. It looks to me like the whole front end is slightly pushed to the passenger side. I do not see any damage to the frame though.

The adjustment to move the hood side to side is very minute at the hinges in the cowl due to the distance the front of the hood is away from them. A 1/16" shift on one hinge will move the front of the hood to the side about a 1/2" or so.
