Tom parts out a lot of jeeps and has a good reputation.
Says the person with the big Quadratec box in the background…but I'm not spending much on them.

I went back to the salvage yard and bought the 2 half doors for $270. I plan on bed lining them the same color as my jeep. Funny thing is they are the same color as my factory color.
The panel is sun faded pretty bad so I'm not sure what I'll do about it. Either paint them or just leave as is.
They did not come with uppers or mirrors but I moved my mirrors to the tub and I don't immediately need the uppers. It would be nice to have but I'm not spending much on them.

This is where the rust is the worst

I’ve owned a few Jeeps in my day. The previous 2 had half doors. I siding realize how much I like them and want them now that my new TJ has full doors.
Don’t get me wrong, full doors are great, but half doors would be amazing. I keep any eye out on Craigslist and OfferUp but the ones I see are in absolute horrible condition and they still want $1K for them, no thank you.
I’ve seen some from the jeep websites but not too impressed because it’s basically a skeleton.
Anyone half any luck on half doors?
Fly to the mainland, buy this...

Drive it someplace with rust. Stop and wheel some iconic places along the way. Sell it for twice what you paid for it sans doors.
Fly home with half doors.

Geez I bought my mint ones for $400. No idea they were expensive.
, I
When?
A few years ago I had a chance to buy color correct ones (orange/black) and hee-hawed around too long and lost out.
They were $750, now I would gladly pay more than that.

The rust doesn’t look that bad. Take it off with a wire wheel or your preferred method, spray it with a rust converter.
I’d definitely paint the plastic panels. Can make them look new and protests the plastic from further sun degradation.
Are you sure you want to bedline it? You can make them look pretty good and they be a lot more valuable.
Just need to find a high quality paint for the panels.
I might replace the handles inside and out if I can find a good price for them.
I bought them for my jeep and I’d have to bedline them to match the jeep. I know that’s frowned upon on here.
I have some aluminum trail doors that I’ll sell now that I have these half doors
Why do you have to beeline them to match the Jeep? The Jeep is a cool mint/lime green. You can get that paint matched easy by an automotive paint supplier. It’s not terrible getting the materials together and DIY. It’s very satisfying when you’re done. I’ve painted my half doors, corner guards, tailgate armor, valance, A-pillar armor, and part of my front GR aluminum fenders.
