Hardtop thumbscrew install

So I purchased these hardtop thumbscrews with tie downs attached. Abit of a silly question to ask after purchasing but has anyone used these? I mainly bought them for the tie downs don't plan on removing the top.

Secondly what order would I install the washers? (and any advice. On the install is welcome)

I’ve never used them, but if it were me, I’d put the tie down on first, then the washer, then run the thumb screw through them.

I just installed mine last week. I didn’t use the hooks. Washer goes on top with the rubber facing down.

X2, this is how I used them on my black TJ.

I just use eye bolts from the hardware store
