My headlights don't turn on, but the dash lights do. I was thinking fuse or burnt out lights. I do plan on replacing them anyways, so if it is the headlight, I'll replace them. Does either one sound more plausible?
Your 2000 has the earlier pull switch on the dash which can get pretty corroded on the inside after 26 years. Not only the sliding contacts but there is a bi-metallic strip with contact points that is designed to open if there is a short circuit then re-close after cooling. It's where the pencil is pointing in the pic below. If those contacts are badly corroded, or not making contact, there will be no headlights.
If your headlights are good but there is no power at the headlight plug the switch is a likely suspect. I replaced mine with a genuine Mopar but it wasn't easy to find. A lot of the parts store brands didn't have great reviews.
