My heat is always on. even when selected full cool and no fan. my feet still roast.
I was reading it is because coolant still flows through the heater core. so since that is hot eventually the floor gets hot.

is the temp lever not closing off the coolant flow?

The coolant always flows through the heater core.

It sounds like the blend door is not closing off the heat path.

Last resort manual heater valve.

Floor is hot because of the exhaust and transmission underneath.
Are you sure your heat is being blown downward from the HVAC even though floor is not selected?

You have a vacuum operated that opens up to allow air to flow to your feet- I believe it is on the drivers side basically above your shin when you’re sitting

The blend door that is electronic- It is below the glovebox

Then you have the climate control module itself directing vacuum to the different components

It sounds like the blend door is stuck open- I think there is a resistor also that sometimes needs to be looked at

Carpet, or no carpet? My floor has just grey rhino liner and there's always some residual heat from exhaust, engine, etc.

The plastic arms on the blend doors sometimes snap off as well. I've had luck drilling a hole to run a wood screw into so i have something to pull the stub out with
