Hi Jeep-Friends! While searching for parts in the www i found this forum.

My Name is Alex, i'm 42, from germany (Black Forest) and a proud owner of a LJ Unlimited Rubicon, which us really rare in my country.

And now.......i hope that i find a lot new ideas for my Hobby and daily driver!

Hello Alex! Welcome aboard. It's a good crew around here, and it's a fun place to hang out.

An LJ Rubicon isn't all that common in the States either, and we built the silly thing. Post up some pictures, when you get a chance. Oh, and there are several of your countrymen on here already. That's pretty cool, in my book.

That's a rare vehicle even here in the United States! I hardly see Unlimited's, and I hardly EVER see Unlimited Rubicons!

Glad you found the forum, post some photos when you get a chance! There's a few other German members on here as well, @Noppes is one of them.

An LJ Rubicon in Germany has to be the equivalent of spotting a Unicorn. Is it hard to get parts for it over there?

The most parts are the same like the TJ and things i want but don't get in germany.....like a original Softtop for the LJ came from ebay over the the "big sea".

I'll try to post a pic of my "treasure" ;-)

I own it now the 7th year and i'm still very proud

Oh wow, hold onto that thing! It looks like it's in very, very good condition! If I were you I would never sell that.

That is certainly one of the cleanest LJ Rubicon's I've seen in a while.

Very nice Rubicon! My short time in Germany, I don't recall seeing any Jeeps! Plenty of BMW's though, lol. Would have been nice driving through the Black Forest with a topless Jeep, beautiful country there! Welcome to the board!!

Hello Alex,

Welcome. I'm in Germany and have an LJ too. I have only seen one other LJ here. They are very uncommon. I have not found any parts locally. All sourced from the good ole U.S.A.

The flip side to that is that when I used to own my BMW M3 and my BMW M5, parts were so friggin' expensive. I'm guessing those parts would be cheaper if I lived in Germany.

Sort of like how Jeep parts are cheaper if you live in the United States.

Ok so dumb question, are BMWs made in Germany or something? I mean... BMW stands for British motor works...

BMW = Bavarian Motor Works

Not even going to attempt the German equivalent. My spelling skills in English suck, so German is questionable at best.

Welcome Alex. I just got back to the USA a year ago after spending almost 6 years in Germany. Heidelberg, Bamberg and Wiesbaden for me. The Black Forest is beautiful country though. My favorite thing was seeing all the CRD Wranglers over there that we can't get in the US. Unfortunately ich spreche bisschen deutsch

Wow,thanks a lot for all your kind words about my LJ...........yes, i am proud to have one of these.

Sure, BMW, AUDI, Porsche, Mercedes....i see every day and that a lot lot lot! Great german engineering!!!! But it was a neighbour in the early 80s with his CJ7 V8 that gave me the "Jeep virus".

Parts: Here are several big warehouses and tuners which sell parts or built the jeep like you want it. but thats expensive.
