Help With My Build Plan

Agree with everything you say. But I'd probably go for 1-2" coil spacers(or coils) and longer shocks to get a lil travel and clearance underneath.

@StoneCold 31s and a small lift is a good start.

Then spend time learning about the pros and cons of each mod and combination appropriate for a given tire size. Then decide what compromises work for you. Reading build threads, researching and maybe joining a 4x4 club or other ways to see tjs in action will help.

I’m thinking 1.25” body lift initially and down the road maybe some 1” springs or a spacer.

Sure, my build plans were well researched and well thought out.
BUT, I just didn't throw Parts at Blue. I drove the snot out of the TJ and really didn't do a lot of modifications. Springs and shocks. A small viair pump. An aluminum front bumper and a winch. A shelf and can holders in the back.

I've not been stuck where I couldn't get out. Never been stranded. Have always managed to go where I wanted.

I say put springs, shocks and tires on and go wheeling. The Jeep will tell you what it needs.

Thank you sir. Since I need springs, shocks, and tires.....I think I'll do just that. I'll also be reviewing your build...(y)

General Grabbers are pretty close to true size. The X3 will likely be my next tire after I finish off these KO2's. The KO2's are not ideal in much of anything after 50% wear down. That may hold true for most tires, but I'm cheap and tend to run my tires longer than I should.

Long time no see @StG58 . Good to see you back! You didn’t miss anything but everything. 🤣

Those are interesting. I also like the Grabber AT/X....it has the "3 peak mountain snowflake rating" that has been made important out here....
