High pitch whine during acceleration

Make sure you check, or keep an eye on, your battery too..especially the electrolyte level. Sometimes when the alternator goes, it fries the battery. Hopefully the shop checked that too. A hydrometer can help to check the electrolyte balance...you can get one at any auto parts store or Walmart.

Mine is doing the same thing. It idles rough and chirps when accelerating. There are no check engine lights and I should also mention that the starting system is all brand new, from battery to ignition switch. Any ideas would be helpful.
