When is the storm supposed to hit?

They will feel the effects as early as today but eyewall Saturday.
Just read a report of sustained winds of 100+ well inland to be expected, wow !!! .

Eye of the storm will make landfall somewhere on the southern tip of Florida about 8am on Sunday. We will start feeling the effects mid day Saturday with the nastiest stuff over night Saturday night into Sunday. It will be up until mid day Monday when things will start to improve
We are expected to get up to 120 mile per hour or higher based on where it crosses the state. The more westerly path the closer to 120 the more easterly the higher the winds

Yeah good luck guys, wow...they said this is the strongest hurricane ever recorded in Atlantic waters!

Apparently it intensified over the Atlantic because of the increased temperature of the ocean this usually only happens over the warmer golf.

The Euro model now is a more westerly track passing just west of the lake. I will be in the dirty side north east quadrant. County wide curfew for Palm Beach County FL starts at 3Pm Saturday until it's all over

September is peak season for hurricanes because it is the hottest month. Sea temps are over 80 degrees prime temp for hurricanes

Looks like a westerly track now but as with hurricanes things can change at any time. No garage for me so both the Wife's JKU (softop) and my TJ also softop will be weathering the storm outside. My TJ will be keeping our small boat from flying away lol

The reason Andrew also Cat 5 was smaller was because it was a fast moving storm so they tend to be more compact as opposed to a slow moving one like Irma.

Yeah. I feel for ya'. My last house didn't have a garage and all my vehicles went through storms for years. Finally got a garage!! TJ as a boat and trailer tie down; NICE!!

Yup my brave TJ is being an anchor to my 16 foot Skiff. I put on the back windows of my Trektop last night they have been off for about 3 years now lol.
We are now all boarded up and ready to take on Irma lol.

Headed down to Florida as we speak, along with 65 other Lineman from my utility. Hope you guys who are weathering the storm at home are well prepared and safe. We'll be there for a couple weeks helping to get things re-built and get who we can back in lights. Stay safe fellas
