I would not unless you've cleaned it thoroughly several times and you're still getting significant misbehavior. I'm pretty sure I went with the Standard Motor Products one. I couldn't find a Mopar.

generally speaking if you just spray carb cleaner into the opening while the jeep is running (it will die in the process) and keep doing that till the bottle is empty you'll pretty much have a clean IAC. And the port will be clean too.

I just read through this thread and noticed nobody addressed your question about the noise you hear when it's running in neutral - I have the NV3550 (you probably do too with a 2004) and when the clutch is out and the gear box is in neutral there is a noise I hear as well - I have heard this can be normal, and guys say it's because the NV3550 is a "noisy transmission in general" which I agree with. My 2001 is a pretty mint unit with 45K miles so my transmission is likely very healthy and the throwout bearing is just fine.
Now it’s really acting up. Starts up but dies out. Used to drop idle after a long drive. Emptied a whole can of cleaner. Was running great but not now. I’m gonna get a new IAC
I think I'd be monitoring live ODB data as you test and maybe checking for wiring issues.

Thanks @AOSJ, I picked her up w 97k. Of course on the test drive all ran great. It’s a bearable noise. I can deal with it, just wondering if it might lead to something serious. I gotta tackle this idle issue first. Thanks for the info brother
Well, went to pick up my kid, maybe a 2 mile drive and idle went bananas. Dropped idle. Then stalled, wouldn’t start. Rest for 5-10mins then started up and idle shot up into the 3k territory, the back down. The went back to normal while the engine light went on. Check code and it’s throwing a P0123. Say that’s electrical and way outside of my wheel house. I’ve been thinking of bringing her to a mechanic or a once over to see what I need to tackle. What do you guys think?
bolts on the IAC and TPS? Yeah, i was pretty diligent on tightening the bolts and not over tightening them. Say several videos about being careful about over tightening the bolts. especially on the IAC. I havent taken the throttle body off yet.. It seems weird that the idle will jump so high, then drop so fast a stall. Then star up and be fine. a few hours later, it soars again. seems electrical. But not sure. Thoughts?
I missed the note about the throwout bearing too, but I also have a 2004 with the NV3550 manual, which I've owned since new.
My throwout bearing started to chirp going into and out of engagement when the Jeep was around 3 or 4 years old. Not bad enough to make me want to drop the transmission to replace it, but mildly annoying. I finally broke down and took care of that last spring. It had thrown out much of it's grease in the bellhousing.
To second ^nth @AOSJ this transmission is noisy in odd ways compared to anything else I've owned. It sounds like a muffled rock polisher full of marbles if you put it in neutral and let out the clutch.

I've read posts over and over that say that is normal so I'm not foolin with it until is changes for the worse
@AOSJ @GoldenGorilla Thats excatly how it sounds. So, should I leave it for now? I dont have the cash for a tranny replacing. It doesnt sound great but, yeah, its just slightly annoying. Thoughts?
The throwout bearing chirp is pretty obvious. It does need to be addressed eventually or it will result in a bearing failure, which would be bad. You'll hear it when the bearing and clutch are in partial contact, especially when releasing the clutch slowly. It sounds like an angry bird. Maybe it inspired the ubiquitous grills?
Like I said - neutral sounds weird and that's normal for this transmission. That's the way it sounded when I pulled out of the dealer's lot with 0 miles on the odometer in 2004 and it's not related to the throwout bearing. It's just the input shaft spinning in the gearbox with no gears engaged and I have no idea why that noise goes away once a gear is selected.

me, golden gorilla, and many others say leave it alone - the sound is normal - but do something if it changes and sounds bad, address it - in general, when a bearing goes bad, it gets tinny and screechy - and you would know the difference if it started to sound like that
i used to replace bearings in electric motors at a job 20 years ago and they sound loud and shitty when theyre bad - if the noise yours makes is the same as mine (rattle/marbles) it is normal
@macleanflood @hear idle gremlins update. Got her back from the mechanic. had a smoke test done and all the electrics checked. did a throttle sensor re-calibration. Found a leak by the evap canister. picked her up and the idle was good. dropped below 700 a couple of times. But she drives great now. called them about the drop and they advised, if it goes batty again, its the ECU. what do you guys think? gonna check her out for the next few days and see what surprises, if any, come up. Cant wait to get to the point of driving without the fear of a stall.
I would look at a lot of things before I blamed the computer for an idle drop blip.
