In a quandry

ok, I have a 2006 LJ with a 4.0 and 6 speed with 60K miles. The other day I noticed a little coolant under the front right below the power steering/AC units. Upon closer inspection I cannot determine where the leak is, all hoses appear dry, the is no indication of laeking around radiator or overflow, and cannot see to determine if it is coming from the weep hole in the water pump. The strange part is it seems to stop leaking after reaching operating temp. Any Ideas?

I had a similar situation on mine, noticed a small puddle under the front in the driveway, but the drip stopped when the engine was running. Turned out to be a leaking waterpump shaft seal, when the engine was running the leaking coolant would get flung around by the belts instead of drip straight down. I figured it out when I noticed a stain on the bottom of the hood

Yeah, I too am thinking water pump at this time, just wanted some back up, any recommendations for brand water pump? Was pondering a flowkooler, but shipping to Alaska may be a show stopper.

Get ready for everyone to pile in here shouting MOPAR, and they're right. Aftermarket pumps just won't last as long. I figured I got over a decade and 80K miles out of mine, I can live with that.

Yep mopar is best. That said I also run a non-mopar one. It has gone 2 year and 10k miles so far without issue make sure you replace the thermostat while it's apart.
