Is my TJ lifted?

Aren't those Rancho shocks? That would indicate to me maybe it's not a stock setup.

Look at the rear axle. The cover bolts have a tag that shows gear ratio. Hopefully it has not been removed

Not sure I cant tell but its probably 3.07 which is a horrible gear

Yes its horrible but dooable. I drove and wheeled my TJ on 35s with 3.07 for a little over a year.

The correct order of operations is to hang around this forum for 6 months, read all of the FAQ and How-To, then spend 6 months looking for a stock Rubicon with no frame rust, then build your setup based on acquired knowledge. But, I'll challenge you to find anyone that went in that order! Usually it goes purchase TJ, search for resources on the internet, find this forum, stalk this forum, join this forum, figure out what was good/bad about purchase, learn a lot, then modify purchased TJ or buy a second TJ!

My thought, even though you say the measurement is 12", is those are not stock springs. If you compare the spring in the the photo you posted to this:

You'll see that your spring has more coils on it than the middle spring in my photo, which is from a TJ. Could quite possibly be an aftermarket spring that has sagged somewhat. I don't see how you could fit those tires on a stock TJ without major rubbing, all the time. IMO

Hmmm, all kinds of stuff going on there. No lift, 3.07, and 35's. So, 35's will need more than your planned 3.5" lift. That and a 1.25 body lift will work. Then you really need to re-gear, depending on which trans you have, 4.56 for the 3 spd auto, 4.88 for the 5 spd. Steering and brake upgrades should be strongly considered as well. The best recommendation would be to ditch the 35's for some 31's until you get a grasp on how you want to ultimately build your Jeep.

1500 is cheap compared to what it takes to run 35's "correctly."

Also... Where the heck are you buying tires? 1500 is a bit steep for 31's, even if you buy 5 of them
