Hello, fellas!
I finally got around to try and fix my reverse lights. When I crawled below to replace the reverse switch (they seem to last for around 18 months, so initially i thought that was the problem) I noticed that the switch in the transmission (manual AX5) is not connected to any wiring harness. Easy fix –I thought– just plug it in. But no, the Jeep gods rarely offer us such gifts... The wiring harness where my switch should be plugged appears to be nowhere.
This is a photo of the reverse switch and its connector, below the passenger side:
I followed the group of wires in search for such a harness but couldn't find it. I found only these two:
But none of them would fit the connector in the sensor.
I have two theories and I'm already thankful for your responses:
–Either an electrician just cut off the harness and the wires are loose in the thick line of cables
–One of the harnesses in the last photo (most likely the round one) is the one I'm looking for, but since I swapped to a manual transmission the connector on my switch doesn't match that harness. Could that be?
