So, sticking with 33's then?

Actually 35's are in my future, but not until I really love these toyos in. I really haven't gotten to wheel them as much as I wanted to and have plenty of things to knock out before 35s. Its probably a good idea to mention I went and got a vehicle wrap quote by someone who would actually tackle the Jeep. Some of the moving parts would need to be paint matched to the vinyl I choose but seriously considering this option because painting the TJ another color I think would run 6k. The wrapping/painting quote I got today if they do all the work was $1800.00. I really want to find someone who has wheeled with the wrap to see how it has fared. They shop mentioned if a panel gets messed up from a hard hit/scratch they can easily re-wrap it for not very much.

My wonderful fender flares have been destroyed by parking under a tree and most of the CC is gone. Being that the Jeep has quite a few miles on it there is a significant amount of rock chips on it. I was quoted $2k to re-finish the fender and touch up the panels to bring her back into her glory. That is an option, but if I am spending $2k I'd really rather take her a significantly different route color wise. Out of all of the vehicles I have owned the TJ has been the least appealing color wise (DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE WHITE TJ'S). Probably would catch a lot of flack for this but seriously considering a really deep blue. I'm still in the brainstorming process of all of this so it can easily be shot down, but I sure as hell am dreaming rn.

So I recently bedlined the inside of my peers TJ and we really had to plan out what was going to be bedlined and what was going to be painted flat black. We bedlined nearly the entire TJ tub EXCEPT the door jambs & soft top channels. His reasoning was he didn't want any issues with sealing from his hard doors/hard top. I think about it a ton and still don't know 100% where the cut off point would be because I really don't want to paint the interior of the Jeep windshield down in black. Probably somewhere I can truly get a clean line in the door jamb following the channel all the way back to the tail gate. I fully plan on bed-lining my TJ but its quite a project to get the rust off the floors. Under the hood and the inside of the fenders I'm still trying to figure out. They said I remove the fenders they will do the insides of them and knock some off the price, but with how intricate the hood's center bracing is they weren't confident they could do it in an economic way to keep it under 2k. He recommended not wrapping under the hood. He said we would need to paint the windshield hinges and door hinges off the vehicle in order for them to be durable for use and not immediate rub off the vinyl if they were wrapped. If I wanted the under hood done, I would need to have them paint it, which is an option I'm sure. I'd have to ask how much it would increase the price.

If I wanted an Inca Gold jeep I'd just find one already painted and swap my stuff over .

I really feel like Imma end up being the guinea pig here . I'm really trying to find a wrap shop with a stronger reputation than the one I found in columbus. I think I'm going to have to explore ATL to really find a shop I can entrust the vehicle with for a week. If I do end up going with the color code I want (IE Ford Grabber Blue in Gloss fashion) then I may stick out just a tad bit more . I really feel like a TJ in this color would look hella good topless, but maybe someone will knock some sense into me.

Really? I saw one on FB nearly 1 month ago that was being sold for 5k up north, it was a 4 cylinder with some rust .

I appreciate that! After the AR purchase and about to pull the trigger on some TRE products and Christmas my pockets are empty, looking forward to getting back to work so I can save for the next big purchase (Maybe this?).

Lol I'm more concerned on if I can find a shop that can do the inner jambs/hood. I don't really have any part of my fenders/doors touch anything on the trails I've ridden but my rear corners make quite a bit of contact when I slide off an obstacle (Corner armor is in my future, way future at this rate).

I contacted a very popular wrapping shop in ATL so hopefully I will be able to get a quote without bringing the vehicle in (Really don't want to be anywhere near ATL this time of year ).

Just a matter of what a tree branch would do to it. My past two daily's were a bit more extreme color wise than my TJ .

in my previous life I worked in a body shop, and before that, sold automotive paint. Vinyl wrapping has come a long way, but I don't think it could hold a candle to a professional refinish. I just don't think you could get the gloss factor of a true paint job with vinyl.

I don't doubt that at all. The price difference between the two places each in their own respective league.
