What is a "monoblock joint" ?

X2!!! Best I can tell from what pics I could find is the rear shaft uses actual CV joints and it also has a carrier bearing

To be honest i have never heard of that term before this news article. But apparently the fix is a new drive shaft.

In other cars like Porsche it’s called the center support bearing don’t know what the hell is a monoblock.

I'm wondering if they're talking about the joint after the center support/carrier bearing or if they have a cardan joint at the t-case....
