After having the 4" Rock Jock lift installed, I'm a solid 1" lower in the front than I am in the rear.

Spring measurements
- Front: 16" (4" of lift)
- Rear: 13" in rear (5" of lift)

I don't plan on removing my rear seat (my dog makes good use of it). I already have a 35" hanging on the rear with some random tools in the tailgate area.

I'm currently looking at raising my front up about 1-inch.

Option 1: Install the Teraflex 1.25" spacers that I already purchased.
- I could remove the spacer later to go back to 4" if the rear ever sags.
- $70.00

Option 2: Purchase and install 5" front RockJock springs.
- This would provide my lift using springs, which is ideal. (same rate as my 4")
- $250, but I could return the spacer, and I could sell the 4" springs.

Any thoughts?

I would throw the spacers in for the time being and see how it plays out. After driving around a month or so the rear may settle down and you’ll need to pull the spacers out at that point to even it back up…

This is what I’m wondering about.

How much will the rears potentially settle over time… and will the fronts settle at about the same rate?

I’ve had the springs in for about one month. Been my DD, and had one day of off-roading from three feathers to chivas falls.

Very hard to say. If it’s already been a month and you are still 1” nose down then that’s probably how it’s going to sit for a long time. I’d go ahead and put inch spacers up front and drive it…

That's what I'll do. Not sure If I'll need to disconnect the RJ track bar or not.

Would be nice if I could just pull the tire then disconnect the antirock and shock to get it to drop enough to throw the puck in. I imagine that I should just need the frame supported high enough for me to use the floor jack to drop the axle down. I'll know soon enough (spacer arrives soon).

How long have the springs been on the Jeep? Is the front actually sagging or did you get 1" more lift in the rear? After 4 years, my Zone springs are still exactly the same height as they were when I installed them.

About one month on the jeep.

The front springs are at 16" so no sag at 4" of lift

The rear is one inch higher than we anticipated they are at 13" so 5" of lift.

are you concerned because of the measurements or because the jeep actually has a rake that you can see & it irritates the shit out of you like it does me? I'm sure you know they came out of the factory with rake so if you're adding springs that are X inches of lift front and rear you're still going to have that rake, just higher off the ground. For a few years I had 1.5 inch spacers up front on top of 3 inch springs to make mine visually level, that accounted for the natural rake and the extra weight of the winch. I was never a fan of them however so when I re-did the suspension I put in new 3 inch springs up front & new 2 inch springs in the rear while also removing the spacers and the winch, that combination resulted in a perfectly level appearance. I don't have to measure the spring length as it sits because it's irrelevant. For my purposes. All that to say I'd go with the 5 inch spring up front. More expensive & maybe the spacer works just as well, I don't know, but that's how I'd do it.

Both.

It was obvious the first time I saw it. I waited to see if things would change.

I just measured things a few nights ago to confirm that my rear has 5” and front only 4”.

Do RockJock have different rates / lengths of spring options? As OME do with their lighter and heavier duty 2” ones. With so much variety in what people do to their TJs there shouldn’t be a one size fits all approach. I thought RockJock / Currie were the dog’s nuts for Jeep mods, surely they don’t do just one spring per lift height?

They have options and their 5” spring would likely be perfect. I made this thread to discuss going with springs versus a spacer.

The spacers arrive today. I’ll just give them a try since they should also be an easier DIY install since I only need to get about 1-1/2” of spring drop (thus, less worries about needing to drop a CA or other parts in order to clear springs…not sure that this would be the case but I also don’t want to chance it with my busy schedule).

Springs don't make the ride but the shocks do. If you can get away with spacers without bind then you'll be fine. If you want new springs then get them and you'll be fine. You didn't mention shocks or travel once and I wonder if you've considered where your shocks are now and where the new ride height will put them? If you aren't asking these questions all the others don't really matter much. Just because you have a Currie lift doesn't mean this is any different than adding a 2" spacer lift to a stock Jeep. You still gotta do all the same stuff to make sure it works.

I have a ton of down travel to the point where the springs still unseat at full droop. My RS9000XL shocks run super long.

I didn’t ask those questions in here because it’s a non issue.

Of course the fundamentals don’t change due to brand name. I’m confused by this statement.

I just installed a 4” Currie lift as well and had about an inch or so of rake. Visually the rake drove me nuts. I bought some .75” spaces off amazon and it is much better.
