I like the look of all the old ones, don’t want one cause I can’t afford another project like that, but they had a certain style back then and a distinct lack of plastic.Nice series 2 Landrover...prone to rust although that one looks in good nick
A detailer told me about "Solution Finish Black Trim Restorer". It looks like paint, or maybe more like ink and is available at auto paint supply stores. It works good and he says it will last about 2 years. I treated some Toyota Prerunner fenders and they look new. Certainly cheaper than replacement and I didn't have to remove the fenders. Funny thing is on the Warning Label it says to be careful that it may spontaneously combust!!! WTH When I laid it down it did get a little warm but no explosions, yet.I think about it everyday. The only problem is I would rather take the existing ones off to do it and I don’t think that’ll happen without a fight. So I wound have to most likely paint them in place. Do you have a paint recommendation? Not sure if Line-x is the best way to go. I have tried transmission fluid and Black Magic with not much luck so painting or getting new ones seems to be the only options.
