later is probably a safer bet for me. about 2 mins after i typed that i realized that's only like 4-5wks out. i wanna get a few local runs on this jeep and trailer b4 heading cross country .....maybe more like late july-mid august would be better.

I am terrified to run it but I do think it would be an absolute blast when that day comes.

i'd be down to try. if i do get to get out there i'm gonna try and plan for most of a wk (tues/wed-sat/sun)........i'll have you all make trail suggestions to ramp me up for it on the wkend.

I bought a 98 that I will transfer most stuff over to.

The nice thing is that the trailheads for chinaman and carnage canyon are located at the same place.

Waiting is good as snow and mud earlier in the season make that trail stupid.

Lee was awesome on that trip. Ended up breaking axle brackets the next day in Penrose.

Yeah we'll be there for the festival (blues and brews) though this is only our second time.

We ran it both times when we went to Trough Trail. That's a much bigger challenge.

Sidewinder is the one that I noodled my currie tie rod on. Agreed--not that difficult and very short. It can be a fun playground though. Essentially it is in a long drainage that has boulders and railroad ties situated throughout.
