To start, I really like your LJ. I have those same hood decals that I've been waiting to put on until I fix the cracking clearcoat on my hood, and your ROTM submission makes me think about ditching my frameless top for a squareback.
Now that I've hopefully set a more constructive tone, I'm going to man-splain the shit out of what came across really poorly from some other members because I have no idea whether it was clear between the lines to someone who isn't from the other 49 states.
I don't think anybody on this forum honestly believes any of what you listed are negative things and wouldn't love to have those in their own state. It seems to come as a surprise to some Californians I've encountered, but the people in the other 49 states don't just live there because they're not lucky enough to live in California. They do it because they like it the way it is where they are. I have no idea if Californians are generally aware of this, but they have a reputation (supported by data) for leaving California because of the results of progressive policy, then coming to a new place and voting and loudly advocating for that very same progressive ideology, clearing the way for more of them to come and inflate real estate beyond affordability for the people that were there all along. It's happened in Colorado, Idaho is next, Texas is getting it, I'm seeing it in Oklahoma (and even get looks from people when I say I moved here from Colorado, until I tell them I grew up here)...there's probably more states than not that are getting an influx from California and other high-tax, left-voting states like NY and IL right now and none of them want Newsom or Bloomberg's pandemic response, more taxes, infringed gun rights, weakened law enforcement, marxist programming in their schools, or any of that crap.
