Hey guys, I’m pretty new to this all but I figured I’d put this up here for anyone wanting to help someone new to the Jeep community. I installed axial led headlights with White DRL halos and amber halos for when the turn signals are active. I’ve wired them up through the harness included with the headlight kit. The kit consisted of simple plug and play for the headlights themselves. I’ve wired the yellow wire to the appropriate turn signal wire and am receiving power to the headlights through a 20amp fuse located in the glove box. All is good with the lights, the blinkers blink when I want them to at the speed I want them to. The issue I am having is that when I signal left or right blinker with the white halo DRL lights on the amber halos come on no problem. When I complete the turn and the blinker shuts off, the white halos are very dim and stutter for about 5-10 secs before coming to full illumination. Any idea on what’s happening here? I’m working on a 2004 Sahara Tj 4.0L I6. The fuse I used was to the back windshield wiper ( not used since I have a soft top ) it is only hot when the key is turned on and shuts off when turned off. I’m also using a 10a fuse tap to piggyback that wire from the halos to. Any help would be great and thank you!

LED headlights on a TJ shouldn't flicker at all. Make sure you don't install any anti-flicker harnesses they may have came with, as those are only for use on the JK models, since they use a CANBUS system that needs that anti-flicker harness. However, our TJs DO NOT need that harness, just so you know.

No no other LED’s or aftermarket equipment installed ( yet). Yeah I didn’t use those anti flicker harnesses, but the problem still persists. It’s not the headlights themselves that flicker. Like low and high beams are steady and consistent brightness. It only flickers when I have the halos on and switch the turn signal on and then off. This initiates the flicker only in the halos for a few moments and reverts back to original brightness. I should mention that the ground I am using for this is the negative on the battery as well.

I didn't know we didn't need them and the manufacturer sent me two kits. I installed them on mine should I take them off? Will it hurt?
If not and they don't hurt I have an extra set here for the thread starter.

If Chris says the anti flicker don't hurt man I can send you a set I'm down here in Pueblo. So they would make it to you quickly.
I’m not sure whether it will hurt or not, but you definitely don’t need them on a TJ as we don’t have CANBUS systems.
I appreciate it but I allready have the anti flicker harness as they came with my headlights too. I’ve tried installing them to see if it would go away and it hasn’t even with them installed. It might just have to be a little thing I live with..... they work they just flicker for like 10 seconds and go back to normal, just annoying
