Hey everyone, i am in the market for a two inch lift, its purely show and is a daily driven jeep by my gf. anyways i called a place for a quote and they said they subscribe to teraflex suspension parts. a two inch shock and spring lift kit runs like 900 bucks. like 1500 with install. anyone know anything about teraflex? im mostly concerned that this thing will still drive relatively stock and decent. afterall it is only for looks and needs to stay somewhat comfy for her. please advise. thanks in advance

4 Wheel Parts installed 2" lift Pro Comp coils and Fox shocks for less. It rides better than stock with the lift and new tires. Mainly street driving.

Easiest and cheapest option would be 2" coil spacers (basically, 2" pieces of rubber that go between your springs and spring perches). Easiest install of them all.

Next on the list is a simple 2" coil lift with 2" shocks. Mine cost me $600 from BDS. I am fairly satisfied with it. Also very easy to install.

Third on the list is the said OME lift. $900 off of Amazon and you get a superb lift kit. Installation is the same as the BDS lift kit. Easy peasy.

In my opinion, never pay someone to do something you can do yourself. Automatic transmission rebuild - I wouldn't do it myself. But a lift kit? Easy.

Are you running BDS's shocks as well?

Yes sir. I wish I had another shock to compare them to! But alas I have not run anything else.

Friend of mine has the BDS spring on his Rubi, but not sure what shocks he's running. He seems content with them. One of these days I need to drive his jeep to get a feel for them compared to my OME's.

I need to do the same (a Jeep with different shocks and springs) to see if there's a quality difference.

Can't complain though about the price tag!

I think a set of BDS springs with a set of Rancho RS5000X shocks would make a great mid priced lift experience.

if i put 33's on a two inch lift, how much of an issue is that going to be? its a daily driver not a mudder

What gear ratio does it have (if it's a Rubicon it has 4.10's, if it's not a Rubicon it'll have a higher gear ratio, maybe 3.73's)?

My Jeep has 33's, the 4.0 engine, and 3.73 gears and I can feel a loss in power than when I had 31's, definitely.

I am actually going back down to 31's once these 33's wear out. They are lighter, have better road manners, cheaper, less stress on steering components and the front end, less likely to tear up an axle shaft or any-joint in my rear end when I get stuck at work and have to rev it up to 5,000 rpms to get me out. I was worried I'd break something.

Basically, 33's can be done with a stock Jeep. However, as the experts on this forum have stated, it's just not the most logical.

31's are much more appropriate for a stock Jeep, and especially for a 2" lift.

I have a Tera Flex 2in lift on my TJ, with Bilstien 5100 shocks, Its a nice set up. I had 3.07 gears on mine with 33's ,5th gear was useless 4th marginal at best. I swapped the gears out to 4.56 this brought the performance back

How do you like your Tereflex springs? Read that they were good quality.

I really like them, The stock springs were shot and had a lot of sag. The front looked like it was nose diving before the lift. The front came up 4 inches and the rear came up 3. I am very happy with it so far.
