Locker Options

I'm not a super 35 expert, but from my understanding the S35 from Revolution is as good as they get and is probably stronger than a stock, locked Dana 44, but let's see if @Jerry Bransford will chime in.
The Dana 35 and the Dana 44 share everything from the differential to the library nuts. With a super 35 upgrade, you get everything you want in an axle for tires 35 inch and smaller. I know guys that run a Chevy V8 and a Dana 35. After the S35 , you need Dana 60s.

Excluding the differential housing and guts...

I'm not 100% clear what kit that is. I poked through RG&A's website and found this, but I don't think it comes with a locker. Did I miss a kit?
Revolution doesn't offer a super 35 kit directly. Someone might bundle it, like quadratec ( they don't) but others are bundled. Decide which locker you want, ARB or Detroit/Eaton e-locker and search out the bundles offered with that locker. Don't let the ARB kits fool you, they all cost 4-600$ more for the compressor and support parts. You don't want to do all this with a 27 spline anything, choose 30. Ten factory bought the Superior axle line and are moving up the line to offering the best S35 kits.

I found a few ARB compressors on Quadratec, but I'm not clear what you mean by "support parts." From what I've read in the compressor descriptions, the kit comes with everything I'd need to run the ARB locker. Is that not correct?

If you are not in a hurry to do this ARB has deals several times a year that you get free compressor with the purchase of a locker.

In my case my compressor came with all support parts to get me going when got my Dana 44's back in 2010.
I opted for front and rear upgraded Dana 44 with ARB's front and rear. because I got 2 lockers I got the larger compressor free and the store (North Ridge 4x4) went ahead and threw in the AIR Up kit free instead of SS braided lines which I did not want. I also got ARB line repair kit.

$400-600 more for the compressor and parts needed to get it working? Who told you that malarkey?

With the above Super 35 kit with ARB locker I referenced at https://www.4lowparts.com/shop/arb-dana-60-35-spline-4-10-air-locking-differential/ you only need the $160 compressor shown at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P919D4/?tag=wranglerorg-20

If you buy the ARB locker separately without the hoses, bracket, etc. included in the above kit you only need the $170 kit like from https://eastcoastgearsupply.com/i-153385-arb-cksa12-mini-air-compressor-kit.html which includes everything.

Not to mention that Ten Factory did not buy Superior Axle and ARB runs specials fairly regularly where you get the compressor for free.

The lockers come with air line and a switch. The mini compressor comes with a plug and play harness and the compressor switch. OTD you can get them delivered for 150 generally. I've purchased several over the years for sub 100 and there are times when ARB runs a promotion that nets you a free compressor. There are no support parts needed to run the compressor. The only premium additional is gear setters typically charge a small amount to drill and thread the hole for the bulkhead fitting.

Ten Factory did not buy the Superior line, no one did. Superior just shut down, no more, no less. There was some inventory in the building that got auctioned off, but no one bought the line or their semi proprietary products. Ten Factory offers the same import crap as everyone else does so they aren't special anything.

Ok, everyone, these two are splitting hairs here.
A) no one wants the 150$ dollar compressor kit because all it's good for is activating the lockers. If your running 35s and need lockers you want to "air down" on the trail then up when done. Move up to the dual piston compressor so your not sitting at the trail head for an hour.... That's 400$ minimum, then the bracket, trail kit, quick connect setup, etc you get the picture! Your going to add air in the long run, but.....
B) yes, I'm wrong ten factory didn't buy the Superior name, but I read an article ,and can't find it , that they bought the plant. So .... That aside ten factory is making great axles and are showing up bundled with e-lockers all the time..

No one is splitting hairs. You made a statement that was blatantly wrong and now you've qualified it with some bullshit that I beg to differ with. For "no one" wanting the small compressor, I've certainly installed a bunch of them for folks that already have an alternate air source or don't have the room for the larger compressor, so again, your premise is flawed. And again, Ten Factory doesn't make axles and they certainly don't make any US made versions.

No one is splitting hairs, you claimed $400-600 in additional parts were needed and several of us corrected you. Simple as that.

You need nothing else to run those lockers than that $150 compressor which can even be free if you wait for the specials. If you want to go for other parts not needed like compressors that can ALSO inflate your tires that's your business but don't be misleading people into thinking they actually need to spend $400-600 more beyond the cost of the locker which is just plain not true. Not to mention Ten Factory doesn't make axle shafts, they're just another importer.

My suggestion is to stop with the locker claims you come up with, you have to back down from too many. Another was when you claimed all Rubicon lockers were limited slip differentials when not locked, that wasn't true either. https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/locker-options.8713/#post-129722

You haven't lived until you've driven a manual in the snow with an Aussie up front. Great off-road and barely noticeable everyday... But can get a bit unruly in the snow shifting

Agreed, lockers aren't really a good choice for snow or ice covered trails. They can certainly make you slide toward where you don't want to be sliding.

You get what you pay for, anyone telling you that some 150$ compressor setup is worth a shit, is full of shit and when you buy an 8-1200$ locker and axle bundle. Who wants to add a 150$ compressor that can't help you reinflate, oh I know " no one!" But your the Jeep God responsible for correcting every little detail like some 8th grade English teacher... Fine I'll shut up and leave your kingdom.

Those who know anything about ARB lockers know that $150 ARB compressor is the compressor of choice and the one most choose. It's clear you're just not up on ARB lockers. Or Rubicon lockers. Do even own a locker?
