Colorado Looking for help from my CO buddies

not to hijack the thread but my family and I just rolled into the 4J in Ouray for 5 days. If anyone wants to link up for a ride ill be in the area. I will have the wife a 4 and 6 year old as well so expect a slow day with lots of pit stops.

Not a hijack at all - We are spending some time on the Ouray / Telluride area as well, but I’ll miss you by a few days. If you could it would be great if you could report back here on what you do and what the conditions are like.

Ran Ophir today, followed by red mtn pass or red mtn mine district pass or something. Ophir was cool, the snow banks are still 12 feet in at least one spot. Red mtn was only open to the top on the southern side but should be finished tomorrow. Saw the dozer working at the top and ran into mike maxwell of the san juan mtn group, heck of a nice guy.

Red mtn was really muddy and slushy.

I'll post some photos in a few.

That’s pretty cool. Thanks for the pictures. Any difficult spots on Ophir?
No I don't recall anything difficult. My 6 year old said "mommy's car could come up here right?" She drives 2wd kia Sorento...

while the sorento might be a stretch, i think you'll be fine in the GC.
