I have artec spring perches and their 1/4" lower control arm mounts and skids. When burning these in does anyone know where they need to be in relation to the perch? The perches eliminate the bar pin. We tacked everything in place where we believe they go, notice how it butts up to the inner shock mount bracket?

They have a pic on their website. It’s 1/4” off on side and the tab touches the coil base. I can’t remember specifics but I had mine installed this week since I don’t weld.

Sorry, can't help much beyond taking a picture of mine, if you need it. Looks like quite the project...what are you swapping in? Also, looking at your pictures, it appears the mount is not true to the axle. Its twisted. I'm sure you have it under control, but wanted to mention it, just in case.

If you can that would be great.

It's offset, to account for control arm angle. Both are like that. These are going on a high pinion Dana 30

Those are stock perches. I'm installing new ones that are thicker. Not sure if that makes a difference....
That I don’t know. You know josh @sff, right ? It might be worth shooting him a text with a pic since he sets up axles with new brackets daily. He could probably answer it pretty quickly.

Last I heard he got divorced and moved. I've got a couple folks helping me with this. A WF forum member, @jjvw, and even spoke to @UnlimitedLJ04.

Ahh I misread your post thinking you had artec brackets. Thanks for the photos though! I have a spare axle I can take measurements from. I'm just not sure where to place the lower mounts, I believe where they are tacked is going to be it though. I should call artec and see what they say
Are you moving the mounts? If you have a stock one to measure from, you should be able to put them back in the same place, right? What am I missing?

The biggest question was where the lower control arm mounts sit in relation to the spring seat. We weren't seeing how all the pieces for together. That might have been answered. I imagine now the question is how much to clock the mounts relative to the pinion.

Perches are going back in the same place. The lower mount however, can swivel all around the tube. I was curious as to where I should place it. Where we have them tacked is going to be it, I am almost certain. After looking at photos, referencing old builds. I'll call Artec and confirm though later this morning. These lowers are much larger than stock, I have a feeling my control arms will not be short enough for the mounts...time will tell.

I still think stock location for the spring seat. The LCA mounts will take some thought, though where they are tacked I think will be it in the end.
