Mildly Out of Hand 02 Sahara Build

I like em a lot. I wanted to try the amber lights for dusty desert trips. They seem to cut through the dust whereas white lights reflect. I had some led KC lights that looked old school and where bright as well but sold them when I went to a stubby bumper. I feel like you can't really go wrong when it comes to the higher end lights. I believe they make ones with the clear lenses and you can pop on the amber covers over the top for the best of both worlds too.

Glad to hear. Yeah I think I’ll go with a set of squadrons for the bumper and s1s for the a pillar.

Made a big milestone and loaded my own truck and trailer for the first time. Jv bound with @DylanM345 tomorrow. Will upload wheeling pics after the new year.

This is my fourth year of New Year’s Eve going down there. Never disappoints!

Cool, both in the fact you're going and the temperatures there...

We will Dylan’s the passenger princess this time so I’ll make him get out for photos.

Always good to have a winch bitch along & someone who can take pictures/videos...

Didn’t have to many good wheeling photos but the trip to jv was awesome. We ran turkey claw half a dozen times each night, claw hammer, boulderdash, upper and lower big Johnson, sun bonnet and lots of chocolate thunder laps. No breakages, caught my front shaft u joint caps backing out so I threw some tack welds on my crappy spare shafts and tossed it in the jeep. I can’t stress enough how awesome hydro assist is on the trail. I wish I did it a long time ago. The jeep has also drastically improved from last year when it was wasn’t stretched or linked in the back. It feels super stable, drags on less rear bumper, and can get through the desert from trail to trail at twice the speed. My new winch rope from @Blackjack got a workout dragging a jk with true tracs and a Cherokee on 33s through sun bonnet. Once again it is a really nice product.
The full corners came in handy this trip, unfortunately they didn’t save my half door which sustained a minor smack off a boulder.

Lastly here’s a photo dump in no particular order. The photos aren’t great and some are screenshots from videos but you get the idea.

Every New Years I go. If anyone wants to tag along you’re more than welcome. It’s a cool spot.

The door in question. Doesn’t look too bad on camera. It is bowed in pretty good tho. On the bright side your paint skills proved themselves to be durable!

Dont let his lack of photos and camera angles decieve you! His new nickname on the trail is Helen Keller, cause he cant listen and drives by braile😂

Kidding, was a great trip, cant wait to finish my Jeep and do some real wheeling next time

You’re not 100% wrong. In an effort to avoid the softest dirt west of the Mississippi I ended up turtling really bad.

Edit: my Fabwork on this thing warrants the Helen Keller Kustoms name, but as for my driving I prefer Stevie wonder.

Man that did soak up the impact. With any luck you may be able to get a 2x4 behind it and knock it out a bit. Or atleast enough that you can place an aluminum armor skin on it without a large gap.
