The big driver for me was to take the kids.
After how nice the weather was last year I do prefer it. April has been cold and rainy both times we attended. Coming from the cold of Minnesota, I look forward to warm weather. We've also had guys run into snow storms crossing the Rockies in April which wouldn't be an issue for you but it's less likely in June.
My daughter has been back seat riding since she was 5 in Moab. Never had an issue, she used to fall asleep on the trails. We'd be bouncing along and she'd be out. There's not much high speed stuff and the kids always seem to like climbing around on the rocks or exploring.
I'm at 5500' and always get an April or May snow.
And wheelin' in the rain doesn't sound too fun.
Mid - High 80s looks to be Moab June normal.
The girls would love this stuff and I'd have to gear it toward their comfort (and grandma's). Going to get them out in one of the Jeeps for some trail riding soon I hope, just waiting for a bit of snow and cold enough to freeze the mud.
Also, debating on whether to run standard aluminum wheels and 'C' rated Cooper Evos or use my 16" beadlocks with 'E' rated tires (probably M/T Baja Boss or MTZ). In that video it appeared some of the rigs weren't aired down much. I'd like to run 8-10psi if doable, on either set of wheels.
EDIT: Forget the Beadlock option. After not a lot of searching here I find I don't need a solution to a non-problem. Guess I'll put some beadlocks up for sale locally.
..and my SwayLock was ordered today to replace the AR.
