Moog track bars not so great?

I installed a Moog DS1235 front track bar maybe 20K ago (under 2 years) on my stock SE. I detected some front end movement so I had the wife rock the steering wheel and the play was in the axle end of the Moog bar. I removed it and you could see the cracking/seperation in the rubber so I bought another one.

But in both the old and new bar I found issues with the taper on the frame anchor point. With the castellated nut torqued to spec, the hole for the cotter pin was too high to lock the nut. I happen to have a thick Gr8 washer that just needed a little tune up with the Dremel on the O/D and it fit right in to the recess and the hole lined up.

Starting to wonder about the quality of these bars.

Are Moog parts made in China? If so, I wonder if they've fallen victim to the typical auto part store replacement part brand quality. You know, brands like "Duralast" from AutoZone.

Crap quality auto parts, made in China, offered with a "lifetime warranty", because they know that most people won't own the vehicle for more than a few years.

Okay, well that pretty much sums it up. I suspect it's a made in China brand just like all the other in-house brands (i.e. Duralast).

Sometimes you have nothing else to choose from, so you just have to make due. However, it's really crappy that it can come to this.
