The only LS platform vehicle I've ever owned was a Chevy 2500 with a 6.0 and that thing got worse fuel mileage than my Ram. I really disliked it. And was glad to trade it for a Dodge.

The LS engines get a lot of a acclaim but they do have some weak points- You can get some engine management issues that you wish you had never seen...Especially in the 5.3
