Are feeler gauge types OK to use for iridium plugs?

Thank you for your reply - I will gap them at .040 for my 2005. Is a feeler gauge type OK to use for iridium plugs?

This is a good type for platinum and iridium plugs. The tool on the left with the notches cut into it are used to bend the electrode to its proper gap.


This tapered sliding type can damage platinum and iridium coatings.
