New Wizard / BMB tail lights?

I have had this plate relocation bracket for quite a while. I got it because the inner part of the carrier latch was hitting the license plate and rubbing the paint off. I will get the BMB bracket if needed but will I need it or can I use this?

Does Florida care about anything? I lived in Marathon Key for a short while and there were no laws. They had drive-thru bars and alcohol sold on the streets (no ABC stores to regulate it) that was opened and watered down. I never went back. 🥳 :(
p.s. I did like their gun laws. If I felt "threatened" I could legally kill someone....................and not have to hide the body, like here in Va.

It's a great place to live! And there are ABC stores, they are a popular liquor store chain, NOT run by the state.

Well, I ordered these last weekend and they were in my hands in a few days and now final install. I knew prior to mounting that my Morryde Tire Carrier was going to have to be trimmed. Got the housings mocked up, traced out and proceeded to cut/grind about 3/4 inch of the plate. Trim job could have been better but my band saw depth wasn't able to handle the whole piece.

Just a heads up for those with the Morryde Tire Carrier, there will be a little more to the install. Blaine's instructions were probably the best I have ever dealt with, straight forward and very clear !

Only other issue I ran into, the body on the Driverside did not allow the housing to sit flat (this was a body issue), instructions mention to use a dead blow to push in the high spots. I did this but the body had a tin can effect which allowed the light to move with the body. A little more persuading with dead blow and the tin can effect was taken care of. This could also be fixed by using the additional mounting holes.

I ordered over the weekend and they arrived yesterday.

I am waiting on the license plate light and relocation bracket before I will install.

Thanks Black Magic Brakes

Thanks for the kind words. In reality, we use a hammer to smack the holes in so the housings sit flush. However, I'm not in the market for all the grief I'd get putting that in the instructions.

I'll keep checking back.

Got to unbox them.. Good Lord! They are beautiful!!

Trust me, you don't want them any more than I do. I've been beating on the supplier more than normal and they were already supposed to be here. That only happened after I pushed on them hard. They have been out for production after approving samples for months now.

I'm very glad you like them and that the effort we put into them shows. If folks would update me on the packaging, that would let me know they are arriving safely and I don't need to change anything.

We explored some custom packaging to make them easier to pack. Worked out to about 23 bucks per box and that will never fly.

Just so you know, you can go ahead and wire them up. That way when the light and plate relocator get there, you are plug and play.

I have the Savvy taillights, but I want to go back to the original license plate holder (relocated and with illumination). I am waiting on your relo bracket and lighting as well. I assume I will have to make up my own connector?

Let me know what you are doing and send over a pic of how you have your lights wired. I can include the other side of the plate light connector, some butt connectors and heat shrink tubing to tap it into the running light circuit.

Mine arrived Wednesday. The box took a hard enough hit that it broke through into the packing material slightly on a lower edge. No issues with the contents. I feel the packaging works very well as is…

It was a couple years back that I added the Savvys. I will have to pull one of them to jog my memory. But I'll take a couple photos and send when I order.

You are just tapping in a 2 wire connector. Ours are color coded to the tail light, the others are not. White is ground, black is power, same as how they do RV stuff.

Easy peasey. I previously had a hobby of building vacuum tube amps, commonly with 900+VDC on the rail with 100ma or more at disposal. I don't trust it as a given to assume a color is what it is supposed to be, I am in the habit of testing.
