Gonna be hard to keep it off when I get home

I figure weight gain/loss is down to three basic factors; quality, quantity and frequency. What you eat, how much and how often.

In mid-June of 2024, I clocked in at 253 pounds (within a pound or two of lifetime max weight), and it kind of pissed me off. Without changing anything in my physical routine (essentially non-existent due to injury recovery), only adjusting my intake per the above factors, I had shed over 50 pounds by July of 2025. I've been at or below 200 since, with a low of 190.4 pounds. Since recovering from a lower back injury (the crux of the weight gain), my hope is to capitalize on the results of diet adjustment by beginning to pick up my chosen physical activities again in the near future.

It occurred to me that the weight I gained was worse than the story told by the scale. Not only had I gained fat by inactivity and not adjusting my diet, but I also lost a fair amount of muscle mass, which was also replace by fat.

Not sure if you are lactose intolerant or anything like that, but I drink these shakes:

It tastes just like chocolate milk, and doesn't make you feel bloated or anything. First protein shake/drink I've had that I actually liked. I mix one scoop with about 500ml/16oz of water. It also makes you really thirsty which helps you drink more water

I’ve been looking to go that route. Cheaper than Insure or any of the other premade protein drinks.

I've probably lost about 10 lbs since I've been overseas - most of it the hard way, but I always lose weight over here. Gonna be hard to keep it off when I get home, but I'm gonna try...

Calories in vs calories out. You did the "GET THOSE CALORIES THE FUCK OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" diet. It works but isn't much fun.
