Compressor and plugs will fix most trail flats pretty quick.
Good to know! I have AAA so maybe it’s time to go without the spare on my DD TJ.I can tell you the vehicle feels much more peppy off the line, and it would seem that it’s not as harsh on road imperfections.
I've read people talk about emergency valve stems but had never known exactly what they are. I may have to pick these up.One easy thing to include in a repair kit is Valve Stem Replacements for the other types of flats I have seen somewhat commonly.

It's becoming really common to have NO spare tire at all in smaller cars. My 2017 Golf R came without a spare OR jack - not even a dealer option. No run flats - those are usually crap for handling anyways. It comes with a fancy can of fix-a-flat and air compressor. The Euro models came with a spare so I was able to piece together a the foam tool holders, a spare from an audi, a jack and a couple of trim pieces for about $200. All OEM parts, just not from a US model. And the factory subwoofer was designed to fit into the spare which didn't even exist...
Yeah the no spare thing is so idiotic. My BMW had no spare when I got it, only run flats. Well the run flats will work for about 1 mile until the tire shreds apart even at low speeds. Most of the guys on the forums recommend running with a tire plug kit and a compressor. Neither of those will fix a giant gash in the sidewall, which is what has happened the 2 times I got a flat, usually from road debris. I now run regular tires and carry a temporary spare, a tire plug kit, and a small compressor in the trunk.
Not only that, but if "the guy" shows up in an hour, you're doing good. Last time I called A3 for a tow, it was almost 3 hours...If I was more than mildly inconvenienced by a flat tire I'd be pissed. Swap it out in 10 minutes versus calling for help and waiting an hour+ for some guy in a van to come to loosen and then tighten 5 lug nuts? I know what I'm choosing.

Mine did.New cars today don't even come with spares. By the way does a new JL come with a spare?
I said the same thing when the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my truck had a flat. They had 20k on them. The TPMS that reads the actual pressure saved me. I could see the pressure dropping rapidly so I could get off the interstate. Also had a flat on that set of tires at around 50k.On road, Jeep or any other vehicle I have never needed to change a tire unless the tire was well past it’s intended life span.
