Normal Oil Pressure for 4.0

It's a switch that closes at 6 PSI. Once the switch closes the PCM moves the gauge to mid range and moves it around enough to make it look like a real gauge.

There are no numbers on it for a reason.

If you want to know the oil pressure, you'll have to install an aftermarket gauge.

🤦‍♂️ Dammit

Yeah, that's my thoughts exactly. I have seen some folks put in a tee so that they can keep the PCM happy with the switch and run a real gauge. I haven't done mine yet.

No, the instrument cluster was reprogrammed to show a constant mid-scale indication so long as the true underlying oil pressure is within specification.
