Optimal gear ratio?

Hello I just joined tonight. I had a question about what the best gear ratio would be for my TJ and my driving conditions. I have a 2000 . It has a 4.6 Golen Stroker motor. It has a manual transmission. It has 33×12.5×15's. It has Moog 280 Universal's in the driveshafts, and Spicer 5-760's in the front axles. Front is a Dana 30, rear is a Dana 35. I do very little off roading. This is my DD . Once a year I take a trip of approximately 3,500 miles. I think this is everything. Thanks in advance for your advice.

It is manual . I am not sure which one I will check tomorrow .

I'd pick 3.73s. Especially with the extra power of the Golden stroker. 33s, manual, DD plus lots of highway, I would not go deeper.

I like a 4.56 ratio with 33” tires and a 5speed. Drove great on the highway up the hills on I-70 even. I had that ratio for years but am now at 5.13’s and 37” tires.

Normally most of us would suggest 4.56 with the manual tranny and a 4.0 on 33s. But since yours is stroked I’m not sure if a taller gear ratio like 4.10 would better suit the engine. @Jerry Bransford thoughts on this?

Sorry no, I'm not up on stroked engines and how exactly they should be geared.

Are the gearing considerations for a stroker that much different than forced induction? I've seen arguments both for less gear and sticking with the usual recommendations for a stock engine.

I wish I could provide a definitive answer but I cannot.

I can say that during the several years I spent around a very busy jeep shop in Orange County that installed many stroker motors during that time that I do not recall the shop gearing any differently for a Golen stroker motor than they did for a fuel injected but otherwise unmodified 258 c.i. or 4.0 L I-6 engine. Turbos, superchargers and V-8 conversions were another story.

Thank you all for your input. I was thinking that you might recommend the 4.56 gears . I will contact Golan and see what's Chad says. Thanks again , all y'all..
