Options for safety caps

Bought a beat up jeep with some rust a couple months ago for $300, needs tons of work. The frame has a bit of rust mainly at the rear on both sides near the rear wheel wells and the skid plates. So far I have found these safety caps. With shipping its going to cost about $1100. Does anyone have any recommendations on different options or is this the gold standard for this type of repair minus replacing the entire frame? I would like to see if anyone has used a cheaper option to fix their rusted frames.

There are cheaper options than Safe T Caps that are just as good.

No complaints about caps as long as you prep and install them correctly. Also you can look at pocono metal works for cheaper options. I’d make sure the rest of the frame can support them. I’ve had them done on a few jeeps and run them on some jeeps that I’ve wheeled pretty hard. Never had any problems.

Yeah, Pocono gets good reviews too. I had the Safe T Caps installed on my Jeep, and they've been solid for 4 years.

Thx, The pocono Inserts look like a comparable cheaper alternative. What about the Amazon frame inserts, any good? I also have another question after I clean the inside of the frame when I cut it open what is best to stop/prevent further rust inside the frame. I live in an area where rust is not a big problem because of the dry climate but since I have my Jeep broken down I might as well do the work now and save myself any trouble later. My father always taught me that an once of prevention is better than a pound of cure. I’ve read about por15 products being good to coat the inside of the frame with, but I’m always opened to suggestions for better alternatives that others may have used?

With SafeTcaps you'll have drain holes. That's probably the first cause of the corrosion, at least for NE TJ's with the obvious salted roads and snow crude collecting on and in them.

I've used Eastwood internal frame coating with decent results. Primarily if the inside is already clean. But nothing beats a wax-based coating such as fluid filled or others that are lanolin-based.

Idk, some people swear by Eastwood. I just periodically douse the inside of the frame with fluid film.

Eastwood, then fluid film. I'm going to start doing mine every year, since I cleaned it out good. Cheaper than frame repair.
