I had an ox locker installed when doing a super 35 type upgrade. I didn't trust 4WP to run the cable and cut my tub to install a shifter. I will be installing the electronic shifter soon. Is there anything I should look out for when installing the shifter? Would it be helpful for anyone else if I recorded/photographed the process?

Also, anyone with an ox locker, how's yours doing? Is it holding up well?

I'm confused...
Do you have a cable Ox or E-Ox?
If its electronic, you really shouldn't have to cut anything, I would think.

The locker is cable shifted. OX makes an electronic cable shifter as well as the cable lever shifter. I will be installing the electronic actuator instead of the lever. That's the main reason I chose OX. You can use their drive away lock which is pretty much just a bolt to lock it and unlock it. And an air, electric or lever switch. So you run a shafting cable to the electronic shifter which will do the pushing and pulling and allow you to use a dash switch. No air lines and a positive mechanical lock.

Hmmm, sounds nifty but, it could also maybe lead to more hassles.

The drive-away feature is pretty cool too.

Is it not possible to mount that actuator above the skid, next to the transfer case and still only run wires inside the cab?

That is my plan! That way the tub doesn't have to be cut and I can re-use my wiring runs I've set up for my switch panel. I really didn't want to have to run the lever and all that's associated with the physical level.
