Only the 05 and 06 had the tab on the rear elbow. Discontinued by MOPAR, so you have to use the one the previous years used without the tab.

Just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be an issue with it getting held in place. I changed it out and have driven it around. No issues at all.
I was able to remove the rear 'original' vent and grommet without damage, but I'm sure the grommet doesn't seal as well as a new one.
The smaller id rear grommet is still available, but I had already bought these for my 2006.
Grommets - 2946079 (Dorman - 42344)
Front elbow - 53030497 (Dorman - 47057)

AH you got me!! Ordered 53030495 (Front) as you stated, however its not. Wow they are a PITA to get out!
Correct, the rear is just a vent.
The smaller grommet is still available if you want to reuse the original vent.

So I have been battling a high idle issue for a while with limited success. I smoke tested the vacuum lines and could d no leaks. I did the o ring swap in tge intake manifold shaft, swapped every relevant sensor. I had some success amen I swapped the air temp sensor but on a whim today I got the ccv's and grommets and lo and behold it appears to have solve the issue. The front grommet was cracked. Both front and rear removed easily with a flat scraper. Lubed the new ones with a little dielectric grease before install.

I'm dealing with this now and the front vent broke in my hand. I think I'm going to have to pull the valve cover off so I'm wondering if anyone has a list of tools to have out and ready since I've never done this on this vehicle. What socket sizes and did you need to use any extensions or anything like that? Also, if I'm pulling the cover what gasket do you recommend and does it also need any of the gasket maker to be used with it? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Buy a good set of sockets and extensions. That way you can see what you need for any job.
There’s a baffle under the grommet that should catch the bits that you dropped. Mine broke in large pieces so I didn’t have to pull the valve cover.
You can get the valve/breather out of the grommet in one piece by using 2 small pry bars at the same time under opposite sides of the lip between the grommet and the valve. It should pop right out undamaged. Probably should still replace it with new because plastic degrades from heat over time.
