Piss & Moan Table

My wife's ambidextrous now because she was born a lefty but the nuns beat it out of her & forced her to do everything with her right hand at school.
I am a natural lefty and my parents converted me when I was a kid. No nuns involved, just some strong southern Baptists who thought being a lefty was bad.

Bought an OEM radio/cd player for my Blazer off of eBay. Turns out the seller lives in the same town I do. Product arrived today, and while it is the same model, it is clearly not the same unit in the pics they used. It's dirty, missing a knob, has blue tape on the housing that the pics didn't have, different mounting tabs, and even a different QC number stamped on the back. WTF? They didn't think I'd notice? Immediately sent off a message ("contact seller") describing the obvious differences, along with pics. We'll see if they make it right. Idiots.

Reported to eBay too I hope...

I bought a radio off eBay, similar issue, when I installed it didn't work, screen was junk. Emailed seller, shipped back for a replacement. They called me and accused me of damaging the first radio and was trying to scam them. I pretty much exploded at them for calling me a scammer and a thief, told them I could drive right to them and have the police with me. They sent me a good unit.

Yeah, so now the seller is pointing out that "some buyers" rob the radios of parts, and then return the item. Also, says it's a generic picture, like "all eBay sellers do". Ummm...no. The pic very clearly shows a used unit in a certain condition. Generic photos are used for new "in the box/bag" purchases. Shit. What an asshole! Applied for the full refund. We'll see what happens.

Good luck, hopefully eBay will back you on it!!!

Seller sent me an e-mail flat-out saying he doesn't "ship units missing knobs. It was removed." Because, yeah, I would spend $106 on a radio, remove the knob, and then go through all this shit to return it. That would make me some kind of mastermind thief, now wouldn't it? As I pointed out to him, if all I wanted was a damn radio knob, it would have been a helluva lot easier to just liberate one from one of the local wrecking yards. Little fucker.

I retired on December 31, and my boss retired on the same date. He got paid for his unused leave on January 23. It's about a month later, and I still don't have my leave check.
Did you have more unused leave than he did? If so, maybe they pay when the leave is used up because they still consider you employed until then? I'd be calling the HR or Payroll department, if I was you.

If you want to get the vibe for the small town area, go to the local diner and sit at the community “piss & moan” table, they’ll bring you up to speed.
My son always got a chuckle when I referred to it so he took the idea and ran.
At the local diner here in town, the Farmer's gather for breakfast and sit at "The Liar's Table". The general rule is the First Liar doesn't have a chance....

Boss' balance was double mine (he was allowed to keep a higher leave ceiling than me). I called a couple of weeks ago, and the HR lady replied along the lines of you'll get your money when you do. It took some willpower for me to be moderately pleasant and not curse.

A trip over there would be my next move. That's a bullshit answer. Foul language over the phone doesn't do much. I much prefer to do it person. May not help, but they'll know exactly what you're talking about.

Just been noticing that when anybody on here finds something messed up on their Jeep, it’s always the previous owner that did it? How can so many previous owners be so stupid? I’m beginning to believe the real story is I did something stupid but I’m gonna blame it on the previous owner!!!

Some of us are the original owners of our TJs, i.e. we are the previous owner who screwed things up. We have no excuse, it's all on us...

The man I bought my TJ from told me there were things wrong with the TJ, but it is obvious that he did nothing to fix those problems. He told me the radio did not work, but all it needed was the antenna wire fixed. Someone had pulled it apart and broke the end off in the process. He told me the windshield wipers did not work, but if he had tried to find the problem, he would have found that the motor was junk, also goes for the washer pump. Easy fixes. I found the problems with a little time and a multi-meter. Installed the new wiper motor yesterday, waiting on the new washer pump to arrive from RockAuto. He was more concerned with putting big tires and a lift kit, heavy bumpers, and a winch on it.
Next is the suspension and steering. The suspension is loose, so I suspect the control arms. Not sure if that can affect the steering, but that is going to be diagnosed, too.
