Problem with ARB air locker

Wish I didn't have my garage full right now or I'd offer for you to come over and I'd fix it for you. I've done a ton of setups for other club members who had me do their axles for them. Seems to me the shop should be eating some of the costs if this is a newer install.



This isn't normally a issue.

My locker install guide is from 2003 so its not a new locker.The shop thought the o rings looked ok when he looked at them but obviously they are more worn than he suspected.He should have suggested replacing at the time no doubt.He did say if there are torn its on him and also said the copper tubing could be bad so i will have to wait and see.He are on the Island not a lot of people have lockers so all you can do is try to find a reputable shop and hope for best.If i had a case spreader i might attempt it myself but i do appreciate the help offer.I dont know if one can get off the Island right now as the have closed to all but essential services for 2 months.Thanks again

I have a case spreader you can borrow if we could figure out a way to get it to you. If you don't have it fixed by the time they let us travel again I could meet you somewhere near the border.

The Dana 30 arb underwent a redesign. The rd30 was a two piece design and the bolts holding it together would shear when the housing flexed. The rd100 is the new version

The older style was the three piece. The RD100 is a two piece.

I didn't know the numbers of the old and new versions; might need to contact ARB to find out if they are compatible to swap between carriers.

They are not compatible.

Good to hear. I am dealing with this issue too, but I can hear the air coming from the breather tube. I have the bulkhead orings being shipped now, so I'd better get an order placed for the seals.

Mine leaked out the breather tube and the bulkhead oring fixed it but now i beleive i have a new problem.I have ordered the housing o rings and i will take in to the shop and hope for the best.
