I have a rough country (I know I've heard they suck but it works for me) 3.25" suspension lift with a transfer case drop. I just installed a 1.25" body lift and MML. I'm having issues with the shifter hitting and wondering if I can remove the transfer case drop and it will fix that? But also my main concern is do I want the MML and the transfer case drop together or just one or the other? I haven't driven it yet to see if it has vibration but I wanted to see if having both would cause problems. I dont care so much about having the ground clearance if keeping the transfer case drop helps and if it helps I'll deal with the shifting problem. I do some light offroading but nothing that that will matter. I really just went with the body lift so I could clean underneath better and so it sits a little higher. Any help would be appreciated!

The MML should allow you to remove the TC drop. You just need to try it out and see if you have vibrations. As far as the shifter hitting after a BL, that's common if it's hitting the console in 2nd, 4th and 6th if you have the 6 speed. The fastest, easiest fix is to just slide the console back about 1/2". I just removed the 4 or 5 screws, slide the console back and use self-tapping screws to re-secure it.

Thanks for the reply. Should I remove the transfer case drop first or just try it out and see if I get vibrations?

If you didn't have vibes before the BL and MML, drive it and make sure everything still drives fine. Then remove the TC drop and drive it again.

ya before the BL and MML I was good. If I drive it and it's all good should I just leave it alone or should I still remove the TC drop and drive it again? Is it more ideal to only have the MML (outside of ground clearance) so if I can get away without the TC drop I should remove it?

took it for a drive. No vibrations as it is now. Got up to about 50mph. I moved the console back (thanks for that) and shifting seems to be better. So I guess when I have a chance I'll pull the TC drop and see how she does. Any concerns if i keep it in for a bit? Like with over wearing and excess stress on other parts.

Nope, no concerns other than loss of ground clearance.

A bl will usually take some rearranging to make shifting clear, no biggie. A Savvy transfer case cable shifter is a great upgrade if the tc shifting gets wonky. You are lucky to not have any vibration issues, I have a mml and some tc drop and still have vibration @ 2.5" of lift. Thank the Jeep gods :D

Welcome to the forum!

Agree with @Rob5589 on the Savvy cable shifter, it's a great upgrade for any Jeep, especially ones with BLs. So make sure your TC is shifting correctly, many people overlook that test after upgrades.

Raising the TC skid back up should help with the trans shifting clearance to the trans tunnel. The factory TC linkage does have some adjustment, so don't rule that out before investing in a cable shifter.

Ya I tested the 2wd 4hi and 4low and it seemed to work. I do feel like I got lucky so far. Just a little moving of the center console for now.
