I got to watch him play with the cosmos several times, bunch of great players n the field.
I forgot about that guy - he's pretty phenomenal, or at least was - is he still active?
THAT'S impressive. Impressive scenery of course, but impressive tech as well. I'm amazed that it can fly at that altitude, plus make that run in one take as cold as it is.
I'm not convinced it was all one take. But the end seemed pretty short so maybe they streamed the footage back to camp and lost the drone after the summit.
The tech is still impressive.
Yet another adventure with this crazy horn I bought. Picture from the Internet:
The circled part is a "crook" that changes the instrument's key from F to Eb (E flat). Most of these horns have had this thing lost decades ago - including mine, but an obscure website gave me a part number for it from a large musical instrument parts house. Pretty much everything in the music biz is VERY guild-oriented, parts houses don't sell to the public more often than not. So I contacted a guy I've bought parts from in the past to see if he could get the crook for me. He can, and he is...
AND - the parts house had one in stock. Only one. The VERY last one in the entire world, there won't be any more. They were hesitant to release it because of this, but (supposedly) they did. Wow. Just WOW.

Messing with macro - bought a set of lens extension tubes, tried one out on this 1/4-20 x 3/4" bolt...
We saw this guy rolling along the trail between Lake Como and Animas Forks, CO.
In my backyard today. Everyone in the neighborhood wants a defcon 1 response when we have mountain lion sightings, but I am pro-mountain lion.
