Today I learned they changed their name.
I saw that at game one and was like WTF - is Indian a derogatory name now?
Chief Wahoo lives forever in my heart. And yeah, the name change was stupid. Most people are still ignoring it for the most part. I bought 10 of the same hat when they announced it lol.
We drove 6 hrs up Wednesday evening after school and doctors appointments, and drove 6 hrs back directly from the game last night. Kids only missed one day of school although I'm sure they are dragging ass right now. Daddy can still drive straight on through

It doesn't seem derogatory to me at all. Silly, though, since they were named Indians by Columbus, most lost human ever, who thought he had arrived at India on the opposite side of the planet.
Renaming teams, mountains, and everything else is just stupid.

It's only derogatory if it's a minority. The Fighting Irish and Spartans will stay. The rest will go the way of Aunt Jemima and the Land O Lakes Indian girl.

Facing east you can kinda see the upper edge of ball field
