Re-Gear Pulled the Trigger

Well, I finally pulled the trigger and picked up my 2004 Rubicon, automatic trans with 33s. Went with 5:13s based on recommendations on this outstanding forum. I am in the breakin period, but already know I am going to like the change. The question now is my speedometer. I guess you can’t simply do a speedo gear change on a Rubicon. The best optio. I have found this far is Speed Healer by Blue Monkey. I went ahead and ordered it but can return it if there are better options.

Current speedometer readings are 55=45
72=60 (real speed)

Thoughts on correcting the speedometer are greatly appreciated.

Cool......it's nice to see that you picked a good gear, and didn't fall into the" that gear just sounds too low" trap.

Thanks Chris. I just picked it up today and the breakin for the first 100 miles is the most critical, so I was told. Babying it around, I can already tell a difference regarding the lugging.

You should really be able to tell a difference off-the-line!
