Rear tire mount

Need to extend my spare out just a few inches, just got new bumpers and need to bring it up and out about an inch each way. do have an inch spacer to change the pattern to a 5 on 5 any ideas?
Have 2016 rims with stock tires.

Is the tire hitting the bumper? You could use a spacer to bring the tire out from the body.

As far as bringing the tire up, are you using an aftermarket tire carrier or the stock tire carrier?

The further out away from the tailgate the spare tire is positioned, the more leverage the tire's weight has against the mounting bracket, the tailgate, and its hinges. My spare tire mounting bracket cracked and failed just with the weight of a 33x12.50 spare tire on a wheel with less backspacing that moved the tire 1/2" out further than stock.

yes it is hitting the bumper but i already have a 1 inch spacer.

Get a bumper mounted carrier or a custom tire carrier built. Take the weight off the tailgate.

And longer snubbers. The rubber things that sit against the tire. To support the tire from vibrating your tailgate apart. You can use hockey pucks or rubber mallet heads from HF. Search this forum for snubbers and you'll find all sorts of how to's.

I'd recommend a MORryde / Exogate tire carrier. You want to get the wait off the factory hinges.
