Hello, I have a significant crack in my track bar mount on the rear axel of my TJ and the weld is completely detached from the Dana 44. I have a Rubicon Express lift and MT 35’s and the tires were being scraped badly which is how I discovered the issue. From my research, it looks like I need to find a good welder but what parts would you recommend to replace the OEM axel mount? I want to be sure to have the correct part for when I tow my Jeep to a shop. Thank you

Have a welder clean it up, and run another bead along it. That would be the easiest thing to do.

Perfect, thank you! Would you recommend that I go ahead a purchase a new track bar mounting kit/extender for the Rubicon Express lift or do you think the existing one will be salvageable?

Your track bar relocation mount looks salvageable to me. Just needs to get cleaned up and welded.

It won’t work. The rear track bar mount is also a mount for a control arm. I recommend you either fix the mount or buy the one I linked in post #2 and then bolting and welding the rear trac bar relocation bracket.
Perfect, exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!

I would recommend replacement over repairing current. Odds are it’ll just split again along the welded area. Do it once and be done and not worry.

Agreed, I just order the part from Rusty’s in order to have it welded on next week. Thanks!
