Rebuilt fuel injectors?

I put rebuilt ones on my Cherokee XJ 4.0 and have no regrets.

The TJ's fuel injectors are usually reliable enough that I'd just replace the defective one.

Ok, but I'm not so sure there's a real upgrade to the OE Mopar fuel injectors. Not to mention if you get a nail in an otherwise good tire, do you replace all the other tires too?

I had also "upgraded" my fuel injectors with some rebuilt 4-hole Bosch injectors. Just figured the 4-hole would provide better atomization, what I experienced was that my TJ would backfire every now and then, didn't like that at all. So, I reinstalled the original 1-hole OEM injectors and yep, no more backfires. I'm guessing I got a possible set with some defective rebuilt injectors.

I will say that the 4 hole fuel injectors made zero difference over the stock ones on my 4.0 in my XJ. That's just my observations though.

Yes, I replaced all 5 tires with 33s. Lol

172,000 miles. I think it's time to replace the injectors.

The coil pack arrived first. Installed it a few hours later after I warmed the garage. When I removed the old one I found this next to the wires. What is it? The top spins freely.

Sure looks like the vent cap on a differential breather hose. Trace the line back.

In that location it is likely the breather hose for either the transfer case or transmission.

They've been great. No problems, runs smooth, more responsive. I'm getting 16mpg which should increase once I change my speedo gear. It's currently off by 5mph with my 33s. I recommend the injectors.

Ok so I stumbled across this thread....I have the same P0303 code and have replaced all spark plugs and the coil rail and I guess I’m looking st fuel injectors now. Did replacing the fuel injector take care of the code? Misfire in cylinder #3 right?

I'd test your current injectors first before replacing all of them. Do you have a multimeter? It's a really easy check, even with a $5 Harbor Freight meter.
